i almost buy all my gear there. my advice: go test the gear you want to buy in a local music store and then look it up on thomann. you’ll always find a better price for the stuff there.
i bought a guitar there once and the delivery status said that it was available but then it wasn’t. so you have to be a little careful. i waited 3 months for it to arrive. but the customer service is quite good, emails are getting answered quickly and you can add or remove stuff from your order after you’ve already sent it. so all in all: good store!
I have ordered Yamaha Electronic Piano for Christmas for my daughter, their price I should say their package sale was good if you compare their competitors in the Netherlands but I understood afterwards the reason of such good price…
• Couple of days later I have received an email and they were asking many questions (double checking my payment details, address etc.) as well as copy of credit card (to be emailed to them). First, I thought it was a joke, end of 2009 a big international company is asking copy of front-back of my credit card!!! Of course I didn’t want it however as I had almost 8 days left for Christmas I took a risk and send the copy. But I clearly stated that this is Christmas gift therefore make sure the goods arrive before…
• Christmas came and no Piano then I told my daughter that the company couldn’t deliver the goods now, but it will arrive before New Year so it’s going to be your NY present…
• New Year came but unfortunately not our piano…
• 4th of January I gave them a call and they were blaming UPS for the late deliveries as well as the Christmas & New Year workload of the carriers.
• 5th of January my piano arrived but not the piano bench, gave them a call and they told me that they sent it separately on Dec 28th and it should arrived soon…
• Today 16th January however no bench or any communication, follow up from Thomann.de team…
• IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET DISAPPOINTED PLEASE WORK WITH THEM but such experience is good enough for me only once…

About 1 and 1/2 weeks ago, I ordered a new guitar from Thomann. The price was excellent so I had no doubts about buying it. When clicked order, a message appeared saying transaction failed so I called the company and asked them what had happened. I was told that they had not checked if the order had failed but was advised to cancel my order and reorder it and I was told I would still get a guitar from the shipment coming in on the 1st of August. I waited, and waited (noticing that the company said they had the guitar in stock) and now, 9 days after I went to the actual page of the guitar I ordered to find out that the 1st August shipment had run out I would have to wait until 12th December 2011! I immediately called the company and the woman I spoke to said that when I cancelled my last order the adviser I spoke to was wrong in telling me I’d still get the August shipment! So I have now cancelled the order. This company may seem good to look at but I must say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover! Thus company is slow and unhelpful. It took me to actually look at the guitars page before finding out about the terrible slipping date! Do not buy from this company unless your willing to be messed around and be dealt with by cluless advisers who don’t care about you. Thus is terrible!!!
