Guitarbitz.com reviews and ratings

Guitarbitz.com was created in early 2004 by me, James Oliver and Davin Kenwood to cater for the UK’s 3 million guitarists.

I wanted to create a guitar shop on the Internet that could cater for guitar players of all levels, but with particular help for beginners and intermediate players, with clear product descriptions and photographs, easy navigation and no techno babble!

I vowed that customer service would be my top priority, so I can concentrate all of my efforts on you.

We have come a long way in these 4 years, but have always had dedicated mail order facilities and large stocks of all our key products. We also now a have a brand new shop, opened in the Autumn of 2007, giving you the opportunity to visit us and try out our large range of guitars, amplifiers and accessories.

I bought a couple guitars from this place. Price was comparable to the other stores but the service sealed the deal.

The amplifier we paid £350 for was swiftly delivered, but it had clearly been used and we were assured it hadn’t, with no apology, just the explanation that they open all goods to test them. Following poor customer service in dealing with our complaint and the product being generally low quality we returned it via Royal Mail Special Delivery. It was no real surprise when we were told that the amp had been damged in transit, we would not receive a refund and we would need to claim from Royal Mail. (They just happened to have video evidence of them opening the parcel and discovering the damaged amp!) Davin said he had not been in this position before…but see B stock bargains section of the website!
What a hideous mess! Not a good experince. We feel completely swindled.

Nachelle, Thank you for your comments. We check all guitars and amplifiers before dispatch to make sure they are working perfectly. This is part of our service that our customers appreciate and find reassuring. It also means that very few items have to be returned.

If a customer decides that the item does not meet their requirements, they can return it for a refund as long as the product is in a new condition. Upon receipt of a returned item, if the box looks damaged we video us opening the package, in the event that a claim needs to be made to the Royal Mail. In this instance, once we had opened the box we could see that the amp had been damaged. We informed you imediately and gave guidance on how to contact the Royal Mail.

B-Stock are items that have been sent to a customer and have been damaged by our courier during delivery. In which case, we will get the item back to us, repair any damage and offer the item at a reduced price.

I am sorry that our service has not lived up to your expectations.

seems to be a pattern to them blaming damaged goods on the transit to get away with not giving a refund, aparenty the bridge of the guitar had been damaged in transit the smallest width of the guitar wouldnt it have been the main body that got damaged during transit??????? DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE RIDICULOUS!
